Tattoos
Flash: a predrawn design. these designs are typically displayed in a studio whether it be on the walls, books or in artist portfolios. these designs are normally offered as is, but some small adjustments can sometimes be made upon request.
Custom: a design that is made uniquely for you by an artist of your choice. as a client wanting a custom tattoo, you will be responsible to be more prepared by completing some research to gain inspiration and preferences. with guidance and experience from your artist, you will typically have more flexibility and control of your art. depending on the size of the design a consultation may be required for the artist to fully understand your vision.
Piercings
Our piercer completes all piercing procedures using a standard needle method! read more about this below:
Standard needle method: involves making an opening using a hollow medical needle. the needle is inserted into the body and the jewellery then follows the back of the needle. piercing using hollow medical needles does not actually remove any tissue, instead makes a “c” shape in the skin
Types of jewellery:
externally threaded: the barbell is threaded so the bead/disk screws onto the jewellery. internally threaded: the barbell has the threads on the inside of the bar, so the bead/disk screws into the jewellery.
Co-op Students
lost anchor tattoo parlour has continuously run a co-op program for local students as part of their high school curriculum. we teach a variety of art related subjects and introduce students to the world of tattoo application and design, history of tattooing as well as business management, health and safety and customer care.
